For years I’ve loved writing handwritten notes to friends and family. When I was small, my grandmother (“Mamaw”) and I would leave little handwritten notes for each other. It was a fun little game we continued until she developed Alzheimer’s.
Nearly three years ago she passed away and I have cherished those notes and cards like you wouldn’t believe. I remember her handwriting and look at it often. It’s a unique piece of her that will never change will the passage of time. A year ago, I got a tattoo of her handwriting (I love you) on my lower arm. I took an envelope she had written to me to use as the handwriting muse.
For this simple reason, handwritten cards are an important part of my life. No one ever remembers a “thank you” or “I love you” email but they will remember a handwritten card. Not too mention handwritten cards show that you care and took the time to put your thoughts into words. Thank you notes are the smallest way to show someone that you are appreciative for what they have done or have given you.
As we began our moving process, we had so many people to thank for helping us from our parents to our realtor. I began searching for “thank you” cards that would represent moving into our new home. I found these adorable “thank you” notes from Basic Invite. I thought the keys would be the perfect representation of our move. These “thank you” notes were customizable, as well. I changed the colors to add dark blue and light blue which are two colors we are using for the decor in our home. Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers to choose between 180 colors. I also added the E & M to give our cards a more personalized touch. I was incredibly excited to get them in the mail. These personalized cards shipped very quickly and are printed on thick card stock. There is also an option to get a sample of the card or invite you designed before you purchase the amount you need. This ensures that you get exactly what you want which does my Type A heart good. The best part of these cards are the envelope. After licking tons of Christmas cards, I was thankful these envelopes are “peel and seal”. This also helped with getting these cards out quickly!
Basic Invite has tons of personalized paper items including Christmas Cards, Wedding Announcements, Invitations, Stationary, Cards, and everything in between. I would highly recommend these cards and I know I will be ordering more in the future.
